So after doing so well at the dressage and her handling work well I decided we would go to our local show and have a go round the clear round.
Although having the fractured tooth dealt with on Monday I decided to go in the Hackamore (bitless bridle) in case she was still at all sore (although she was back to scoffing her nets from Tuesday!).
So after popping a couple of practice fences, looking a bit rusty which isn't surprising after not jumping for almost 2 years and having never jumped in a hackamore, we did the clear round, and for the first time in the clear round class actually got a clear round!

Hayley was loving it! I decided as she was doing so well and enjoying it so much we would enter the Triers class (65cm) as it was low enough not to put too much strain on her leg, although it has healed fine and she was doing fine I didn't want to push it.
We did another fantastic clear round and made it through to the jump off, I thought we would keep it steady but Hayley had other ideas! As soon as she heard the bell she knew it was a jump off and quickened the pace! After a slightly precarious moment, I only had hold of my left rein after a rather close 'cat leap' over the second fence, she powered on and we went clear again!

After a short wait and the times worked out we had done it! We had won of first showjumping class, after 18 months of injury and in a hackamore! I can wait to get her jumping again next season hopefully there will be more of the same!
