Today was her second shockwave therapy treatment vet was really pleased with how it is healing swelling has reduced loads :-)
The vet described the shockwave therapy as a pulsing, it uses a high-intensity sound wave to penetrate to the injured area (she said imagine the pulse from an electric fence) it is rather noisy! Sounds like the pulse of an electric fence but 10x louder! Vet suggested we tried without sedation to see how she would react (she was sedated during her first as it was straight after her scans at the vets, some like it and will tolerate it others hate it!) Hayley didn't even bat an eyelid about it! 6 weeks box rest and still chilled as a cucumber! Love her 'whatever' attitude!
She does seem to be able to heal quickly so fingers X'd we're on a good road to recovery!

I have added a video below to give you an idea what the Shockwave Therapy sounds like (This is not my horse).
